Manuel Antonio, I presume

The Great Bus Adventure

Today was a travelling day from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio on the West coast. It didn't start too well as the bus was due at 8.25am but got to 8.40am and no sign. A whatsapp to the organiser and we thought let's hope he works on a Sunday! Luckily he called back in 10 minutes and explained he hadn't told the bus company he swapped hotels so the bus was waiting at the other one. He said the bus would be there in 5 minutes and luckily it was. We're determined not to get stressed so I simply thanked him for coming back so quickly to sort.

It has been a strange mix of chaos and organisation on this second part of our central America trip. It's mostly gone well but a few bits, like today, where the communication could have been better.

The busy journey was around 4 and 1/2 hours, we had 2 drivers the second one was a lunatic, quite scary at times. Nice scenery though as for the second half we followed the coast road. So nice to be hitting the hotel weather again, time to top up those tans.

Things that go bump in reception

The hotel seems OK, we stored our bags behind the reception desk while waiting for our room. When we went to get these back Karen bumped into one the receptionists with her backpack and I then knocked the standing fan over into one of the others. This caused them all to have hysterics, which continued 30 minutes later when we went to get beach towels.

Beach Time

We had an afternoon on the beach enjoying the hotter temperatures (not sure about crowded beaches though) and I've just popped out to take some pictures of the sunset. It does look fantastic so hopefully my pictures capture it well.
